Double Exposure: Hi friends welcome to our post. Are you searching for double exposure Snapseed editing tips? Don't worry in this post we guide double exposure Snapseed editing tips. It would be an understatement to say that double exposure shots are works of art. It's almost magical how two worlds merge into a single image. Double exposure was once thought to be an expensive hobby in the days of analog photography. However, with the advent of digital cameras and image editing software, it is now simple to create a double exposure. In fact, you can take double exposure photos using your smartphone.

Photo editing applications on our phones have grown in power, and they are no longer limited to filters. Mobile apps like Snapseed and VSCO can transform photos into works of art if you have a creative eye and a little patience. Both apps are powerful, with tools suitable for both beginners and experts.
Detail about Double Exposure:
In analog photography, double exposure refers to the technique of exposing a single camera film twice (or more) to create a superimposed image. However, analog double exposure had its drawbacks.
For starters, you'd need ideal lighting conditions. Second, the effect is more difficult to achieve with automatic winding cameras, where the film automatically winds to the next frame. Not to mention that the process was an expensive one in general.
Things have changed dramatically since then. You can not only superimpose two images in a matter of minutes, but you can also play around with different layers.
Create Double Exposure Images In Snapseed :
When it comes to creating digital double exposure images, starting with a monochrome image and then layering it with a contrasting second layer is the best way to go. Another interesting option is to capture an overexposed image with the subject in stark contrast against a white background.
Create a Silhouette:

If your primary image is a regular image with a lot of colors, you'll need to whiten the background. Selective Adjustment is our weapon of choice for this. Tap on the background to make a point on the photo, then swipe right to brighten it.
Pinch in to enlarge the focus area. Tap on the Plus icon and choose your point of reference to make multiple selections. To smooth out stubborn dark spots, use the Healing tool.
Darken the Subject:
When the background is gone, it's time to darken the main object. Select an exposure level of around -0.3 by going to Brush > Exposure.

Drag your finger over the object to give it a dark tone.
Layer the Secondary Image:
It's now time to layer the secondary image. Select Tools > Double Exposure and then click the first icon. Choose to Lighten as the blending mode for the image (second icon).

If you're feeling adventurous, you can add a couple more layers. I created the effect with two different images for this project. Use the Vignette tool to make your photos stand out, then save them.

The Reverse Also Works:
On a black background, you can create similar surreal images. If you don't have one, you can use the Exposure tool to darken the background (needs to be linked to the change background article).
You can also experiment with the darken mode instead of Lighten as the blending mode. Here are some of the images we created with Snapseed for Android.
Conclusion:
Snapseed's Double Exposure tool is an excellent way to transform ordinary images into breathtaking ones that are also Instagram-ready. Have you experimented with creating images with double exposures? If so, please share them in the comments section below.
